Summa College
Co-creating a practice-integrated education in Smart Industry
Challenge
Smart industry, also known as industry 4.0, is becoming increasingly important within the high-tech manufacturing industry. Digitization processes follow each other at a rapid pace. Artificial intelligence and 'IoT' are playing an increasingly important role within factories. The assembly and manufacture of complex and innovative equipment is becoming increasingly intertwined with robotization and big data.
Approach
- Co-creation
- Concept Development
With the Summa college, we developed a future proof MBO4 training in close collaboration with Brainport Eindhoven that prepares new talent for industry 4.0. Interviews with a variety of companies contributed to a basic concept, which was further developed in February in co-creation with Philips Healthcare, Bosch Rexroth and DAF.
Result
In the academic year of 2021-2022 a class of students are educated to professionals that know how to combine 21st century skills with technical and ICT skills.
